Enabling the PTO programmatically, using the “Truck Tools” program on your vehicle
1. PTO 2 Switch
PTO 2 is the transmission PTO. This switch is used to engage or disengage PTO 2.
2. PTO 1 Switch
PTO 1 can be either the engine PTO or the transmission PTO.
This switch is used to engage or disengage PTO 1.
PTO (Power Take-Off)
NOTE: The conditions for engaging and disengaging the PTO depend on the vehicle’s intended use and, accordingly, the programming of the vehicle’s
electronic systems. The conditions for engaging and disengaging the PTO on your vehicle may differ.
Engaging the PTO
1. The vehicle must be stationary.
2. Let the engine idle.
3. If a manual transmission is equipped, depress the clutch.
If an AS Transmission is equipped, set the rotary switch to neutral (N).
4. Disengage the PTO using the switch.
If a manual transmission is equipped, hold the clutch pedal down for another 2-3 seconds (to stop the PTO).
When the PTO is disengaged, the PTO indicator on the instrument cluster display disappears.
