The BMW/Mini Cooper ELV/ESL emulator is used to simulate the operation of an electronic steering wheel lock. It is used in case of a breakdown (or dismantling) of the electronic steering wheel lock unit. The BMW/Mini Cooper ELV/ESL emulator replaces the original ELV/ESL signal and allows you to turn on the ignition and start the car. For the emulator to work, your original ELV/ESL unit must be unlocked or disassembled.
