Disabling the immobilizer on a DAF Euro 5 (Xf 105, Xf 95, XF 85)

What is an immobilizer?

An immobilizer is often an electronic anti-theft device. It prevents the engine from starting without the ignition key and is activated when the ignition is turned off.

In older vehicles, the immobilizer is activated when the car is locked with the key or central locking. For additional theft protection, car owners can install mechanical immobilizers, such as steering wheel locks.

What is IMMO Off? Explanation

Immo, short for immobilizer, is an electronic device installed in a vehicle that prevents the engine from starting without a special key or fob. However, IMMO OFF means deactivating this mechanism, which means disabling the anti-theft protection we mentioned.

Deactivate the immobilizer on the Daf Xf 105, Xf 95, XF 85 Euro 5

Software disabling of the immobilizer

If your car won’t start or stalls again after 1-2 seconds, the problem could be the immobilizer.

We deactivate your immobilizer using software. This means all immobilizer error messages are ignored by the engine control unit, so it doesn’t matter if there’s moisture in the ignition coil, a faulty immobilizer box, or a communication failure due to a problem with the control unit.

Manufacturer repairs cost over €1,500. We offer a significantly cheaper solution.

After disabling the immobilizer in the engine control unit, starting is guaranteed.

Removing or disabling the immobilizer on  a Daf Xf 105, Xf 95, or XF 85 Euro 5 is a very complex process that requires skill and experience. I strongly recommend against attempting to disable it manually; it’s best to entrust this difficult task to a professional at ukr-truck.
